DIRECT ANSWER

What is visual image refresh?

Visual image refresh updates the images used across webpages, articles and marketing content. Logue Media primarily derives these visuals from suitable business video through VDRS, then selects and prepares them for their intended use. It sits alongside content updates rather than operating as an isolated stock-image replacement exercise.

Is this a standalone photography service?

The current service focuses on refreshing content visuals through video-derived assets. It is delivered alongside content work through Content Foundations. Where suitable footage does not exist, new capture or specialist photography needs a separately agreed production scope.

Can every video provide useful still images?

No. Resolution, lighting, movement and framing determine which frames are usable. We review the footage against the intended placement before committing to a set of images.

What do we supply?

Provide the source recordings, permissions, the pages being updated and the sizes or placements required. Identify anyone who needs to approve images of people, locations or products.

BEFORE YOU CREATE MORE

When the words change but the pictures stay behind.

An old team image, an unrelated stock scene or an unsuitable crop can contradict the page beside it. Refreshing visuals alongside the copy helps the business present a coherent story. The source recording must contain usable frames; motion blur, lighting and framing affect what can be extracted.

30 frames in one second.

A video recorded at 30 frames per second contains 30 individual frames in each second of footage. One minute contains 1,800 frames to review. Other recordings may use 25, 50 or 60 fps—the available frames depend on how the video was captured.

Those frames give us choices, rather than 1,800 finished photographs. A usable still needs a sharp subject, a suitable expression, clean composition and enough resolution for its intended placement. Movement, blur and near-identical frames reduce the useful selection.

Video Decomposition and Repurpose System showing how source video becomes useful content assets

Select. Prepare. Repurpose.

Through VDRS, we review suitable source footage, extract selected stills and prepare the agreed crops and sizes. An interview can supply a portrait for an article; a demonstration can supply a service image; a project recording can provide supporting detail. Each image keeps its source context and passes a permissions and suitability review.

This can extend the value of an existing recording. It does not replace dedicated photography when the brief needs precise lighting, product detail or a composition the footage never captured.

Website visuals

Match the visual to the webpage explanation, not just its colour palette. Consider the subject, available space and how the image crops on a phone. A hero banner and a supporting detail image usually need different compositions.

Article images

Choose article visuals that help readers recognise the topic and understand the example. A frame extracted from an expert discussion can accompany the article when it remains relevant and the contributor has approved its use.

Questions about visual image refresh.

Settle these details before confirming the work.

How do you choose frames for a webpage?

We match the subject and composition to the information on the page, then check clarity and the required crop. A usable frame should support the explanation rather than simply fill an empty image position.

Will extracted frames suit print?

That depends on the source resolution, crop and print size. Website use does not establish print suitability; print requirements must be assessed and agreed separately.

Can existing licensed images remain?

Yes, when they remain relevant and their licence covers the intended use. Licensed or illustrative images should not be presented as evidence of your own work.

When should visual content be refreshed?

Review visuals when staff, products, services or messaging change, and when new articles or case studies need supporting images. The content brief establishes the refresh scope.

Who approves images of our team?

Your nominated business reviewer confirms accuracy and permissions. Contributor consent and any client restrictions need to be resolved before publication.

Discuss your visual image refresh brief.
