LOGUE MEDIA RESEARCH

Research

Original research, evidence reviews and technical findings on AI Search, digital visibility, video, business AI and the systems shaping how organisations are found, understood and recommended.

This is where Logue Media publishes work that goes beyond commentary. Each Research item begins with a defined question, examines available evidence, records the method used and separates findings from assumptions or unresolved questions.

The library will develop as evidence becomes strong enough to publish. Research can inform our methods, services and solutions, but the findings are presented here as research first — not as sales copy.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Question → Evidence → Findings → Implication

Clear question. What are we trying to understand?

Visible method. What evidence did we use and how was it assessed?

Stated limits. What does the evidence support — and what remains uncertain?

ABOUT THE RESEARCH LIBRARY

What Is Logue Media Research?

Logue Media Research is the evidence-led part of the Insights system. It contains original reports, studies, evidence reviews, research notes and briefings where a question requires more investigation than a normal article or update. Each item records what was examined, the evidence available, the method used, the findings and the limitations. The purpose is to make our conclusions easier to inspect, challenge and update as the evidence changes.

RESEARCH FORMATS

Different Questions Need Different Research Formats

The format depends on the question and the amount of evidence required. The labels below describe the role of each format; they are not a hierarchy of importance.

Reports

Substantial investigations that bring together a defined question, a body of evidence, a documented method and a set of findings. Reports are used when the subject needs enough depth to stand as a reference in its own right. They may also connect to supporting data, video, related Research and later updates.

Studies

Focused investigations designed to examine a narrower question, dataset, market behaviour or technical issue. A Study can be smaller than a full Report but still needs a method and evidence that can be inspected. The findings should explain what was observed without extending the conclusion beyond what the research can support.

Evidence Reviews

Structured reviews of available evidence around a claim, trend or emerging practice. The aim is to separate what is directly supported from what is inferred, repeated or still uncertain. Evidence Reviews are particularly useful in fast-changing areas such as AI Search where capability claims can move faster than independent verification.

Research Notes

Shorter evidence-led records used when a finding is useful but does not yet warrant a full Report or Study. A Research Note can document an observation, test, technical change or early pattern while keeping its status and limitations visible. It may later be expanded, superseded or incorporated into a larger research item.

Briefings & Data

Concise briefings and data assets for questions where the practical value comes from a controlled summary, comparison or dataset. These items should make the source, date and scope clear so readers understand what the material can and cannot establish. Where data is updated, versioning should preserve the research trail.

CURRENT RESEARCH AREAS

What We Are Investigating

Research topics will change as the market and evidence change. These areas reflect questions closely connected to Logue Media’s work in AI Search, digital visibility, video, information architecture and business AI.

The carousel is a guide to the research programme, not a promise that every topic already has a published report.

PUBLISHED RESEARCH

Research Library

The library below contains public Research items that have passed publication review. Draft, private, withdrawn or superseded material is not presented as current published research.

HOW WE FORM A FINDING

Question → Research → Evidence → Pressure-test → Findings → Implication

The exact method changes with the subject, but the discipline should remain visible. A Research item needs enough information for a reader to understand how the conclusion was reached and where its limits sit.

01 — Question

Define what we are trying to understand and why the question is worth investigating.

02 — Research

Identify relevant sources, observations, tests, records and prior evidence.

03 — Evidence

Separate direct evidence from assumptions, claims, forecasts and unsupported repetition.

04 — Pressure-test

Look for alternative explanations, contradictory evidence and limits in the available material.

05 — Findings

Record what the evidence supports without extending the conclusion beyond the research.

06 — Implication

Explain what the finding may mean for a business, method or future investigation.

EVIDENCE PRINCIPLES

What Makes the Research Useful

Research is useful when the reader can see the difference between evidence, interpretation and uncertainty.

Evidence Before Assumptions

Start with what can be observed or sourced. Identify inference separately and do not convert possibility into certainty simply because a claim is repeated often.

Sources & Limitations

Show the basis of the finding and make material gaps visible. A limitation tells the reader how much weight the conclusion can reasonably carry.

Revise When Evidence Changes

AI, Search and technology change quickly. Research should be versioned or updated when stronger evidence changes the conclusion.

FROM RESEARCH TO CONTEXT

Research Is One Part of the Insights System

Research records deeper investigations and evidence-led findings. The wider Insights hub also includes explanation and interpretation through Blog, consequential external developments through News, and changes to Logue Media’s own products, methods and systems through Updates.

When a finding needs to be applied to your own organisation, that becomes a separate audit, advisory or implementation question.
