ENHANCED LIVE BROADCAST

Enhanced Live Broadcast

Give the audience more than a fixed camera view.

When an event needs deliberate camera coverage, controlled audio and graphics that arrive at the right moment, the production needs a shared plan. We scope sources, switching, sound, cueing and delivery before deciding the crew and equipment.

What is enhanced live broadcast?

Enhanced live broadcast is a produced livestream with deliberate camera switching, audio control and programme graphics shaped around the event.

It can combine multiple cameras, presentation sources, prerecorded playback and speaker identification. The benefit comes from how those sources work together, rather than the number of devices in the room.

Define the viewing standard first: what the audience must see, what they must hear and which moments need a cue. Then establish who supplies each signal and who makes programme decisions.

Does enhanced broadcast always need more cameras?

No. The programme determines the camera plan. Extra angles are useful only when they help viewers follow a speaker, performance, demonstration or change in activity.

Can we add speaker names and graphics?

Approved graphics can be included in the production scope. Provide names, titles, brand assets and timing requirements early enough for preparation and checking.

Is the venue’s audio feed enough?

It may be a useful source, but the room mix and broadcast mix serve different listeners. We assess the available feed, speech or performance priorities and the monitoring required.

ENHANCED LIVE BROADCAST

Make every source count.

A broadcast can have several cameras and still be hard to follow. Sound that suits the room may hide a remote speaker. Unplanned switching can miss an important detail. Production decisions should be made for the viewer receiving the final mix.

SEEChoose framing and source changes that show the action or explanation clearly.
HEARMonitor the broadcast feed rather than assuming the venue mix is suitable.
FOLLOWCue graphics, playback and transitions against the actual running order.

Set the broadcast standard.

Different programmes need different source priorities. Choose the treatment around the material and audience rather than promising the same camera package for every event.

Keep speakers identifiable

Speech-led programmes need clear microphones, readable presentation sources and camera coverage that follows the person speaking. Audience questions need a defined audio path.

We clarify panel changes, seating positions and whether speaker titles appear on screen. The programme should offer useful context between close shots so remote viewers understand who is involved and where the discussion is going.

Build the audio plan first

A performance broadcast can need a sound balance that differs substantially from the venue’s public-address mix. Music, speech and audience response require deliberate source and monitoring decisions.

Camera positions should be agreed with the venue and performers. We identify sightlines, access restrictions and the moments that need coordinated switching, then scope rehearsal and permissions around the production.

Prepare the cues

A launch may depend on a reveal, playback cue or close view of a demonstration. The camera plan, sound and graphics must support those moments without competing for attention.

Approved assets, timings and a clear cue caller are part of the brief. If a demonstration is difficult to repeat, discuss the practical fallback before going live rather than expecting a camera operator to solve it on air.

Keep the treatment consistent

A recurring programme needs consistent speaker titles, source layouts and transitions. A recognisable treatment helps the audience follow changes between guests, slides and discussion.

We establish which assets are reusable and which must be supplied for each broadcast. Recording, highlights and additional edits are scoped separately so live production and post-event deliverables are not confused.

Four decisions shape the broadcast.

Set the picture and sound standard, identify every source, plan the switching cues and agree the required outputs.

01

STANDARD

Set the programme format and what a remote viewer must follow.

02

SOURCES

Confirm cameras, microphones, presentation feeds and approved graphics.

03

CUES

Rehearse switching, playback, speaker changes and fallback decisions.

04

OUTPUT

Monitor the stream and agree the recording or replay deliverables.

Plan the moment. Show it clearly.

A more polished broadcast depends on preparation, source control and timing. Agree the cues and hand-off points that matter before the programme goes live.

Match the crew to the venue.

Central Coast is our primary physical service area. Other NSW locations are quoted around the venue, access, rehearsal, crew travel and broadcast requirements.

Enhanced Live Broadcast production planning

Central Coast

From Umina Beach, we can scope onsite coverage around venue audio, presentation sources and camera positions. The broadcast feed is checked separately from what people hear in the room.

Sydney · Wollongong · Penrith

Larger venues can involve an established AV team and formal production schedule. Confirm who supplies the final sound feed, who calls cues and which camera positions are available before committing equipment.

Enhanced Live Broadcast production planning

Newcastle · Lake Macquarie

For a speech, launch or performance programme, the site brief must cover stage sightlines, cable paths and rehearsal access. We establish the source hand-offs before crew arrival.

Enhanced Live Broadcast production planning

Hunter Valley · Port Stephens

Regional broadcast work needs sufficient setup time and an early connectivity assessment. Travel and practical fallback options are scoped against the event rather than assumed to fit a standard package.

Remote contributions

A guest outside the venue can be introduced as a programme source when the joining and return-audio workflow has been tested. Contributor cueing and a holding plan need to be included in the running order.

Define the signal hand-offs.

A broadcast may draw from venue sound, presentation systems, production cameras and remote guests. The quote should make ownership and responsibility clear at each point.

AreaWhat to clarify
Camera coveragePositions, operators, movement restrictions and the shots the programme requires.
Broadcast audioSource feeds, mix responsibility, monitoring and the handling of audience or performance sound.
GraphicsApproved titles, logos, overlays, file delivery and cue ownership.
PlaybackVideo and slide sources, audio routing, rehearsal and permissions.
DeliveryNetwork testing, destination access, stream monitoring and fallback decisions.
RecordingMaster format, review, replay, highlights and any post-event edit scope.

Price the broadcast requirements

An enhanced broadcast is scoped around camera coverage, audio routing, graphics, crew and any agreed fallback arrangements. Existing packages provide a reference; the proposal should reflect the actual production chain.

Discuss your stream

Enhanced broadcast questions.

Settle these points while the production brief is still taking shape.

Can you work with the venue’s AV team?

Yes. We agree the camera, audio, presentation and cueing hand-offs before the event. Existing venue equipment does not remove the need to identify who controls the broadcast output.

Will every camera have an operator?

The coverage plan determines which positions need operators and which can be fixed. Crew and equipment are confirmed through the scope rather than assumed from the service name.

Can graphics be changed during the event?

Some changes can be handled within an agreed workflow. Identify who approves changes, how corrected material reaches production and which live changes are practical.

Do you guarantee uninterrupted streaming?

No connection or live event can be guaranteed free of interruption. We assess connectivity, monitoring and practical backup arrangements and agree how the programme should respond to a problem.

Can we receive edited highlights?

Highlights can be quoted in addition to the live production and master recording. Agree the required length, purpose, review process and delivery timing before the event.

Tell us about your broadcast.

Include the programme, venue, date, camera coverage, available audio, presentation or playback sources, graphics, rehearsal access and recording requirements.

The broadcast proposal defines the feeds Logue Media receives and delivers, the venue AV responsibilities and who approves programme graphics or changes during the event.
