Editing, Colour Grading & Post-Production
Recording gathers the raw material. Post-production makes that material useful to the audience.
How we choose →Our register →WHY BUSINESSES NEED THIS CAPABILITY
What problem does editing, colour grading & post-production solve?
Businesses need editing and post-production to turn recordings into accurate, coherent, accessible and reusable communication. Logue Media uses DaVinci Resolve Studio and dedicated control surfaces to shape the narrative, align sound and colour, check claims, prepare captions and deliver agreed output formats.
THE BUSINESS PROBLEM
More footage does not automatically communicate more value
An interview can contain excellent insight but leave the central point buried. Event coverage may be inconsistent between cameras, a presentation may be too long for social channels, and a rushed cut can omit essential context. Editing therefore begins with the audience’s question and an approved story—not with effects or transitions.
Before suggesting an investment: Editorial selection, verification and accessible outputs rather than equipment acquisition.
FROM BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS TO WORKFLOW
How we select the practical workflow
Every piece of equipment and software has a role only if it supports an agreed output. We work through these questions with the client.
Step 1 of 4 — read then continue
01 / 04
Select the evidence
Review footage against the brief; remove tangents while preserving the meaning and context of the speaker’s claims.
02 / 04
Structure the message
Establish a useful opening, logical sequence, supporting visuals and an appropriate conclusion or next action.
03 / 04
Finish consistently
Balance audio, colour and graphics and prepare accessible captions or transcripts as required.
04 / 04
Approve and deliver
Check names, facts, permissions, aspect ratios, playback formats, versions and handover requirements.
THREE BUSINESS SCENARIOS
Different briefs require different decisions
Select the type of assignment to see its context and corresponding approach. These are illustrative uses, not named client projects.

Expert video
Business need: A customer should understand the practical value of specialist advice.
Approach: Tighten structure, retain relevant caveats, add supporting visuals and prepare legible captions.
Illustrative planning scenario; not a claim about a completed client project.

Event highlights
Business need: Attendees want a usable summary without watching the complete conference.
Approach: Review speaker permissions, identify meaningful moments, preserve context and produce agreed highlight versions.
Illustrative planning scenario; not a claim about a completed client project.

Training and knowledge
Business need: Staff need to find specific steps after a long recorded session.
Approach: Use chapters, screen details, clear sound and a verified transcript to improve reference value.
Illustrative planning scenario; not a claim about a completed client project.
Start with the requirement—not the tool.
Editorial selection, verification and accessible outputs rather than equipment acquisition.

What we work to prevent
- Making a montage that looks polished but never answers the viewer’s question
- Using inconsistent audio levels and colour between cameras
- Creating social clips without validating whether removed context changes the claim
- Failing to define client revisions, deliverables and handover formats
BUSINESS QUESTIONS
Before choosing a system
What does colour grading do for a business video?
It can improve consistency and support the desired visual style, but it does not replace accurate lighting and exposure during capture.
Are captions and transcripts part of editing?
They can be included in an agreed workflow. Accuracy and review are particularly important for names, specialist terms and factual claims.
Can one recording create several assets?
Often, if the content, permissions, composition and source quality support it. The repurposing plan should be agreed early.
Is editing only a technical process?
No. Editorial judgement, factual verification and audience relevance are critical to whether the finished material is useful.
Need help with editing and post-production?
Explain the source footage, audience, deliverables and review needs before choosing tools.
We scope a production or integration solution; we do not sell individual equipment.
